Zum einen: Björnski, Gründer des viel gelobten dérive-Labels, kongenialer Deephouse-Produzent und feiner Kerl.

Zum anderen: A Different Jimi, Gründer des it’s-Labels, kongenialer Jazzhouse-Produzent und vielschichtiger, alter Haudegen.

Zusammen as can be mit ein wenig Jazz- aber um so mehr House-Vinyls. Und als ob das nicht reichte, wird Jimi seine letzten beiden Bebop-House-Livesets für dieses Jahr zum Besten geben.

in feb. 2012 the fine dérive label will release it’s third 12″ with three deep and lovely tracks from björnski + a different jimi, achim maerz & tilman tausendfreund.

the sax solo on “9 to 5″, the track from björnski and me, is both my first sax recording and my first saxophone-track that has been released on vinyl yet.

 

“Dérive co-owner Björnski opens up with his first release „9 to 5“, a collaboration with his partner-in-crime A Different Jimi. Sharing a passion for deep house and jazz music, they produced this hypnotic eight minute track built around a jazzy piano loop that melts together with the bass line, surprising the listener with Jimi’s saxophone solo.”
